They turned out surprisingly well and my dad even said they were better than the ones from Port Fairy, which was very nice of him. They are also super easy to make. I followed the recipe from Planning with Kids. I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract and since my yoyos were pretty big, I had to leave them in the oven for 20 minutes.

Yoyos
When my dad was in hospital, I ate almost a whole bucket of these mini yoyos I bought from Rebecca's Cafe in Port Fairy. There were five of them left when my dad came home from hospital and he polished off four when he woke up for a midnight gobble. My dad told me they were delicious. I decided to make him some as a Welcome Home/Sorry I ate the last yoyo gift.
